The new Photocopier - short post.
Today I had some free time between lessons. I went out onto the balcony of the school and noticed four guys with a photocopier. They also had a length of rope, a tree trunk and a scaffolding pole. This I had to watch! To put it in a context, the school is quite and extensive site. It occupies numerous buildings and has three floors, or four if your are Chinese. The difference being that whilst in England we start with the ground floor, in China they start with same floor but call it the first floor, if you see what I mean. Anyhow, the only way up from the lower floor to the higher floor(s) is by staircase. There are no ramps or lifts. So when you need to move a significant piece of equipment you need a solution. In this case a traditional solution. Meanwhile, back at the story....the guys ran the ropes around and under the photocopier, put the log and the scaffolding pole through the ropes and then put the log and scaffolding pole one their shoulders. After a bit of trial and error and near death, they got the balance right. Now all that was left was to go down the stairs! You can see what happened next in the two videos below. No one was hurt during the making of this film! Sorry about the quality of the video! Slightly reminiscent of that Laurel and Hardy film when they delivered the piano to the house at the top of the stairs!
