SIM cards part two

Well, this time something technical worked...first time.... lr so it seems!!  I won't go into details but I got a simcard in Jiangkou, despite my school telling me it was impossible.  As I believe I have said, Simcards are really important because most things are payed for by phone, and without one, it gets very difficult because some places just cont seem to accept cash!   So, in order to be able to pay, I have to link my simcard to my bank account! Easy? No.  Somewhere, deep in some system to which I have no access, the verification system believes that the name on my passport is 'my first initial of my first name, the first initial of my second name, and my surname.  However, my passport actually has my full first and second names and my surname, and when I registered my passport with my bank account they recorded the details from my passport.  So there is a mismatch, my name in my passport as registered in some distant system does match my name in my bank account.  So nothing works!  Fortunately a very clever Chinese English speaking friend managed to find a work around for this....but it took forty-five minutes!  However, I am sure the problem will pop up somewhere else further along the line at a very inconvenient time!
