Flight to Beijing

And Well, plane seems empty, might get a four row and get my head down.  I've got my own tv and remote.

And a hermetically sealed bag with something blue and towel-ike in it.     
 And I've just been moved to a row of four empty seats.  Bargain!  Here is my 'bed'

..And just in case you were wondering..There. Was a blanket inside the hermetically sealed bag.  Smelled like it had been stored a while!
MySo, a decent nights sleep across four seats.  Then around 6am plane moves to morning mode and breakfast!  Yoghurt, mini croissant, butter, jam, melon balls and I chose chicken noodles.  Excellent.  Rested, fed and ready to face the day...But hang on it says the outside temperature in Beijing is 87 F.  Sounds hot...Quick conversion 30C.  Well I wasn't expecting that!  Doesn't look like I'll need my fleece today!
Hang on...Turbulence, change of weather..Only 70F/21C with the chance of light rain this afternoon.  Maybe I will need that raincoat!
Sorry Being, but you smell of traffic fumes...Apparently it used to be much worse .

School visits

It was friday, I only had one lessoon, but the night before, I was told that we were going on a schol visit to a countryside school.  It sounded good.   I turned up early for school and let my class know that I ouwl not be there.  They seemd to understand.  I then went around the school in teh morning and chatted to teh students as I usually do.  At half past eight (ish) I got my text and went out and met the deputy head.  He led us over to his car.  I took the obligatory photograph! The deputy is the guy second from the left.  He loaded the car with water and off we went.  I was qute interested to see what the countrydie was like, and what a rural school was like.  I was expecting a kind of wooden hut with soil floor.  I was very wrong! Drips for trees, the 'live meat' market, sheep noodles, new heating friends, the roundabout that isn't and the Star Trek car.

Drips for trees As I've mentioned before, whenever anyone is I'll inJiangkou, they get put on a drip.  Even if it's only a cold.  When I was in hospital, I was on a drip almost continually.  Today, I again noticed that even the trees were on drips!  Maybe they have got a cold! The 'live meat' market The 'live meat' market has to be seen to be believed.   At the far end are the water based animals.  Next is the birds.  Last is the meat.  At the far end the water based animals are alive, as are the birds.  At the meat end, the animals are dead or being killed and cooked.  The cooking consists of using a blue torch to char the meat.  Today there were pigs heads and trotters, various birds and one guy blue torching the remaining flesh from what I guess was a cow pelt.
