There's not a lot to this post but I had to include it!
Yup, it's a cow, a real cow in the back of a pick up truck!

A lorry full of breeze blocks.  Nothing holding them there except for friction!
What could possibly go wrong!

Well it started off as just another day.  I had popped into town between lessons and was walking back to school.  I felt that someone was looking at me, hat is not unusual being the only foreigner in town,   However this felt different.  I looked around and nearly missed them!  Two foreigners...Germans too!  We had a quick chat in English.  I can speak German quite well and treid to speak it but it came out as a mixture of German and Chinese...very strange!  As if the Germna space had been filled with Chinese!  I understood their Germna but could make no sensible German response!  So we talked in English.  I took the obligatory photo and swapped we chat addresses.  This diary page is now complete as I have returned safely to England Due to some weird anomally, I often can't seem to reply to comments people make, but all comments are much appreciated!  (Especially the Birkenhead one!) 5th February 2020 Today I woke at 1.30 am.  A combination of jet lag and worry and a napping sleep pattern over the last few days.  Running round in my mind was the need to get back home before I get stuck here!  The need to get home quickly and 'under my employers radar' has made me a little paranoid, and that has transferred to the last leg of my journey:   London to Dorchester.  In my mind I have not made it home yet...Dorchester, my house, that's home.  Not there yet.  I'll wear my mask on the home journey for the sake of others.  I have been isolated in Jiangkou and display no symptoms.  But I care about others too and want to be safe, not sorry.  What has surprised me so far, is that no o...

School visits

It was friday, I only had one lessoon, but the night before, I was told that we were going on a schol visit to a countryside school.  It sounded good.   I turned up early for school and let my class know that I ouwl not be there.  They seemd to understand.  I then went around the school in teh morning and chatted to teh students as I usually do.  At half past eight (ish) I got my text and went out and met the deputy head.  He led us over to his car.  I took the obligatory photograph! The deputy is the guy second from the left.  He loaded the car with water and off we went.  I was qute interested to see what the countrydie was like, and what a rural school was like.  I was expecting a kind of wooden hut with soil floor.  I was very wrong!
