Aladdins cave and the big lorry.

Just opposite from where I live, is a big row of shops, but not shops as we know in England!  A kind of mixture between, derelict and half completed breeze-block buildings.  Some have shop fronts, some don't.  One is full of wet cardboard and old polystyrene, another is full of box section metal rods another is a kind if garage, some look like restaurants with a few chairs inside, but rarely any customers

In the middle there is a metalwork shop and there are often guys outside, squatted down on the pavement welding.  Of course there is no safety gear ...Not even goggles!  But in the middle of the row is Alladin's cave.  A small open fronted breeze-block shop, maybe one hundred and fifty cubic meters.  Outside is parked a huge metal lorry.

The BIG lorry

The capacity of the lorry must be at least four times the capacity of the shop.  The lorry is constantly being emptied into the shop.

Alladin's Cave

Usually big 'fridge-freezer' sized cardboard boxes, sometimes other shaped boxes, but always big ones!  The three guys who work there are constantly carrying things into the shop.  All by hand.  They go into the shop, put the 'thing' inside and go and get another 'thing' to carry in.  I think that the lorry exchanges some days, meaning that once it is empty, another in arrives, but the shop never folks up, and never looks any fuller.  It's a mystery, and one I shall pursue later!
Yesterday, I think I solved it!  Although a lot comes in and there are no other lorries, I think this is the solution!  These little three- wheelers sneak in and take all of the gear away.  Health and safety does not get a look in!  China is |China is China!  Lovin' it as they say in some advert!
